YOGA RETREATS & MORE
ABOUT ME
Hello peeps!
Welcome to Yoga Retreats and More.
Let me introduce myself.
I am Florence Achery, founder of YRaM but
also a retreats addict & connoisseur!
Early 2000 and after a burn out, I was advised to go on a yoga retreat to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of my London life, switch off, recharge & rejuvenate.
And that’s exactly what I did on my first retreat to Thailand.
Every year after that, I would ‘rinse and repeat’, exploring new destinations, discovering different types of yoga, indulging in other nourishing activities and gathering life long friends along the way.
It did save my sanity and made me understand the importance of looking after my mental health and general wellbeing.
From Thailand to Iceland and India to Morocco, retreats have been my saviour, helping me find my inner strength during difficult times.
I do practice yoga at home but nothing can beat the escapism that comes from discovering a new land, a new culture through yoga. There is also something very special about sharing an experience with like minded people.
Unfortunately I have also experienced some very average retreats. The denominating factor often being the size of the group. I have learnt that a smaller group makes for a better experience and that’s the default setting on all my escapes.
I understand that to a lot of people booking a retreat is a necessity. You need to treat yourself to some 'me time' in order to reconnect with yourself. You could be working a high pressure job or maybe life isn't so kind to you right now and you need to look after yourself mentally and physically.
You need to leave behind whatever is bringing you down for a few days and join this special place where you feel safe to share.
My mission is to create the kind of retreats that I am myself looking for. A sanctuary where, for a few days, you will be cherished.
I want you to have a self-healing and an unforgettable experience and go home a new, better and stronger version of yourself.
I am looking forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
